  Great setting and ambiance.. Service is excellent. You have to like the style with which they serve the food.. Not my personal favourite..

  Food was excellent, a great selection with good flavour profiles, and quite a variety. Fish was slightly overcooked, but tasted good, pork was very well prepared.

  Surprisingly good restaurant, the food was amazing, my 8 year old daughter even enjoyed everything including the vegetables and the fish which is a first! The staff were awesome, we had one potentially awkward moment, the steak I ordered was a tough piece, due to the piece of meat itself, not due to the cooking, I told my waitress this and the manager came straight over and asked if they could give me a different meal and all the staff were very apologetic. I switched to the fish which was amazing, and finished off with the chocolate cake which was too notch. Started with the pork belly by the way, loved that too! One of the best restaurants I've been to all in all!

  Actually closer to 4.5 than 4, but the service was a bit of a let down. Nice enough wait staff, but was a bit disordered and poorly timed.

  Dined here on our last night in PD as a celebration of the great holiday we have had. 6 of us dined and we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. There was so much on the menu that I wanted to try that I opted for 2 entrees. The duck pancakes were superb followed by the soft shell crab. We ordered a bottle of a Victorian Shiraz the was delivered at just the perfect temperature to our table and really complimented our food. The wait staff were very professional while being friendly and lovely. Desserts were great too and a lovely range of ports, today's and brandies to match. Great night, thank you Watergate.

  Overall a must-try in Port Douglas. (Unless you're on a budget of course)
