  all pictures in the brochures and on the webpage are a lie and they doesnt say anything about what weve seen at Central Port Douglas Plaza Holiday Resort Accommodation, around 20 min walk to the beach instead of 5, the first view was great, but the beach appears full of seaweed and the smell was very ugly too, ceilings in the apartment covered by a fatty dirt layer hanging down, old fashion TV, old style phone and the oven wasnt working properly, in the kitchen we were surrounded by unknown species of cockroachs and ants, service or staff isnt available, construction noise all day long, no relaxing atmosphere such as some green palm trees and also no quietness is surrounding the tiny pool area, where the pump wasnt working and construction workers were mucking around, this old style complex has seen better times in the last row of blocks in Port Douglas maybe 20 to 30 years ago, it isnt very enjoyable, weve seen places we would recommend, but not this one, no way, this accommodation was crap!

  My husband and I stayed for 5 nights which was just great seeing we'd been to port douglas before. What a great place. The pool area is fabulous so take advantage of that. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby so be prepared to do some serious walking.

  Apartment was clean and very big for a one bedroom with plenty of appliances in the kitchen if you want to eat in to cut cost. Great holiday all around and we'll go back for sure.
