  We hired a car today on our stop over from the Pacific Dawn Cruise. Scotty was amazingly helpful and an excellent ambassador for Port Douglas. The service he offered was second to none. The xtrail we hired and clean, and in fantastic condition. I would highly recommend Avis to anyone who does a port visit. The walk from the port to avis is about 800m and all flat. Thanks Scotty for making our stop over so good

  How hard is it to stick to the agreed quote and have a clean car. Cairns has other hire car companies that were quiet wish we had used abother company

  Really disappointed we pre booked the car , avis changed The type of car that was filthy and scratches all over. Luckily we avoided the $5000 excess scam and paid the extra money as exhortion . We videoed the car incase avis tried to scam us when we returned it.

  Very helpful office, set up my Bluetooth in the jeep compass (excellent to drive, especially with cruise control) and ensured I was happy with driving an automatic for the first time. Better customer experience than many other car rental offices!

  After a bad experience at the Comet car rental next door we decided to go with Budget/Avis. Cassie was excellent - she gave us a thorough report of the condition of the car (which we didn't get at Comet) and also pointed out the $0 excess option. She also showed us the best deal and upgraded our car to a larger model at no extra cost. I would thoroughly recommend using Budget/Avis for car rental in Port Douglas
