  Service was very unprofessisal. The hair dresser was late for my appointment, then made me wait longer while she had a cigarette. I asked for my extensions to be put back in and on the phone she quoted a completely lower price then what she charged me because she had to clean the tapes, when every other salon that I've been to includes this as the service. I even helped her clean the tapes and straightened my own hair yet she still charged me the full amount. I did not feel 'pampered' or like I was receiving any kind of professinal service as she complained about having to clean the tapes most of the time. Which were not even cleaned properly as my hair started to matte from the stickiness a couple days later. Very disappointed and not worth the money!!

  I was visiting Port Douglas and needed hair blowaved. It looked fine when first done but using a flat brush to straighten curly hair is not as effective as stretching with a round brush it's a short cut so it didn't last. Then the surprise, I pay $35 in Melbourne at any hairdresser it cost $80 definitely too expensive! Won't go back, don't usually write reviews but felt I was taken advantage of because not local!!

  Amazing Michelle is a fantastic hairdresser, the salon itself is stunning upstairs with beautiful views to the ocean they also offer beauty packages definitely the best salon in town !!

  Can strongly recommend The Hair Shop. Michelle does a brilliant job every single time. The colour of my highlights is always spot on and beautifully blended. Friendly service and great Schwarzkopf product range. The salon's view and the chocolates that come with your coffee are a bonus!
